84-Year-Old Banned From Driving Until 3000 AD

Australia: 84-year-old Luba Relic has been banned from driving until the year 3000 after being convicted of negligent driving, failing to give particulars and driving without a licence resulting from an accident she had last year.

Relic’s licence was originally pulled by the Roads and Traffic Authority for ‘medical reasons’ but she continued driving up until her accident in September last year.

Relic, who was already banned until 2999 for previous offenses, pled not guilty to the charges. The Manly Court Magistrate fined her $1,000 plus court costs and added a year to her driving ban, taking her to 3000 AD.
